A New Start

Sometimes the most important miles we drive don’t end at a fairground, a sale barn, or a customer’s farm. Sometimes they end with an animal getting a fresh start.

I’ve wrestled with whether or not to share this transport because self-promotion has never come easy for me. The last thing I wanted was for it to seem like I was using someone else’s difficult situation for attention. But if sharing this story reminds even one person that there are good people willing to step up when an animal needs them, then it’s worth it.

There are far too many horses and other livestock living without the care they deserve. Some don’t have enough feed. Some don’t receive the medical attention they need. And sadly, many never get the second chance they should have.

This horse was one of the lucky ones.

A compassionate couple opened their hearts and their farm to him, and Jonathan had the privilege of helping get him there. He’s now in a place where he will receive the care, feed, and kindness he deserves.
